Fortis Hospital, Noida marked a defining milestone in academic medicine with the successful completion of its 10th Annual Neurosciences Conclave 2026, themed “Current Trends in Neurosciences: Advances & Complication Management“.
The event drew over 400 doctors from across India, making it one of the most attended neuroscience CME events in the Delhi-NCR region.
This conclave has been organised every year since 2015, under the direct leadership of Dr (Prof.) Rahul Gupta, Senior Director and HOD – Neurosurgery, Fortis Noida.
Over a decade, it has grown from a regional CME into one of the most recognised neuroscience conferences in North India. The 2026 edition saw participation from doctors based in Meerut, Moradabad, Bulandshahr, Bareilly, Haldwani, Aligarh, Muzaffarnagar, Hyderabad, Surat, Gujarat, Chandigarh, and Baraut, reflecting the event’s growing national reach.
“Ten years ago, we started this conclave with a simple belief -that neuroscience in India needed a dedicated academic platform where clinicians could learn from each other, not just listen to presentations.
Seeing over 400 doctors come together this year, from across the country, tells me that belief was right.
The launch of the Institute of Neurosciences at Fortis Noida is not just a milestone for our department -it is a commitment to making world-class neurological care more accessible and more collaborative. We will keep building.“
Dr (Prof.) Rahul Gupta, Senior Director & HOD – Neurosurgery, Fortis Noida
The standout announcement of this year’s conclave was the formal launch of the Institute of Neurosciences at Fortis Noida – a dedicated centre for advancing neurological care, training, and research.
The launch was presided over by Dr V K Khosla, former Professor and Head of Neurosurgery at PGIMER Chandigarh one of the most respected neurosurgeons in India.
Dr Khosla was also honoured at the event for his decades of contribution to neurosciences in India.
His presence drew over 30 PGIMER Chandigarh alumni and former students, many of whom travelled from different cities specifically to attend a reflection of the deep respect he commands within India’s neurosurgical community.
Academic sessions were structured around two core themes latest advances in neuroscience and complication management in brain and spine surgery.
Discussions covered evolving surgical techniques, multidisciplinary approaches to neurological disorders, and emerging challenges in critical neurosurgical care.
The format combined expert presentations with open peer discussion designed to bridge the gap between academic research and clinical practice.
The conclave was attended by senior leadership from across the Fortis Healthcare network:
Senior clinicians from Fortis Healthcare who participated actively included Dr (Prof.) Hitesh Kumar, Director Neurosurgery; Dr Jyoti Bala Sharma, Director – Neurology; Dr Neha Pandita, Senior Consultant; and Dr Ankur Dhanda, Senior Consultant -Neuro Critical Care.
Their presence reflected Fortis Healthcare’s institutional commitment to neuroscience education and clinical excellence.
The Fortis Noida Neurosciences Conclave stands apart because of its consistent growth in attendance and academic depth over ten years.
Year on year, more doctors from more cities have chosen to attend not for ceremonial participation, but for genuine clinical learning.
With the Institute of Neurosciences now formally established and national participation increasing, the conclave is positioned to become one of India’s leading annual platforms for neuroscience education, research dialogue, and specialist networking.
